Minut’s Refer a Friend Program means that when you refer friends or family to Minut, you could get a reward and your friend could get a discount on their first purchase.
Referring a friend or a family member is a great way to tell others about Minut. As with all programs, there are a few rules to comply with so everyone plays fair. By participating in the Refer a Friend program and by sharing your referral link, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (these "Terms"). Please read these Terms carefully.
For the purposes of these Terms, “you” means you - the Minut customer sending the Refer a Friend link to their Friend for referral - and “Friend” means your friend or family member who receives the Refer a Friend link from you.
How the program works
- Refer a Friend by sharing your unique referral link. Referral links are unique to each Minut customer account, and can be found in your Minut mobile or web app. You must be signed in to your Minut account to do this.
- For every Friend you successfully refer to Minut, you can receive a reward, provided that the conditions of a successful referral are met and these Terms are complied with.
- Purchases made via a referral link by your Friend contain a discount for the Friend (the “Referral Discount”). The Referral Discount only applies to the Friend’s first purchase.
To qualify as a successful referral, all the following requirements must be met:
- Your Friend purchases and actually pays for their Minut plan(s) using your referral link;
- Your Friend's purchase was not combined with any other offers or promotions;
- Your Friend is a new Minut customer and they have not previously had an active subscription with Minut; and
- Your Friend activates their Minut subscription and it remains active for more than 30 days.
To be eligible to share a Refer a Friend referral link and get rewarded, you must:
- be an existing Minut customer with an active subscription in compliance with Minut's Terms of Service;
- not be a part of Minut’s Affiliate Program;
- be based in a country supported by our third-party rewards platform, Tremendous, to redeem your reward;
- comply with these Terms and with Minut's Content Policy.
What do you get for the referral?
- You will be rewarded USD$15, or the equivalent in your local currency, for every successful referral made, up to USD$1,000 in a 12-month period.
- If you have already earned USD$1,000 in rewards in a 12-month period, you can still share your referral link and make successful referrals, however, you will not be rewarded.
- Refer A Friend rewards are distributed by a third-party platform, Tremendous. Supported rewards vary by country and currency, please refer to https://www.tremendous.com/catalog/ to view which reward option(s) is available for you. Minut’s Refer A Friend reward options include PayPal USA, PayPal International, Gift Cards, and Charities only.
- Reward amounts, supported currencies, and payout options may change from time to time.
What does my Friend get?
- Any Referral Discount is automatically applied at the Minut store checkout for purchases made by your Friend using your unique referral link.
- The Referral Discount is two months off the first year of subscription of all Minut Standard, Pro, or Pro+ Plan(s) purchased in the Friend's first order. The Referral Discount is applied per rental unit and does not apply to hardware, shipping, customs charges, and taxes.
- The maximum number of plans your Friend can purchase using your referral link, and therefore the Referral Discount can be applied to, is the same limit as the online checkout limit.
- Your Friend may use a Referral Discount only once. Referral Discounts cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions.
- Referral Discounts may change from time to time.
What else should you know?
- Minut’s Refer A Friend program is for Friends and only for personal and non-commercial use. You may not publish or distribute your unique referral link on commercial websites (such as coupon websites) or on blogs. You may not “spam” anyone with referral invitations. This includes mass emailing, texting or messaging people you do not know or using automated systems, artificial intelligence solutions or tools, or bots through any channel to distribute your referral link. You may not pay to advertise your referral link, and you may not sell, assign or otherwise transfer your referral link to anyone else.
- You and your Friend must be at least 18 years old to participate.
- You may post the unique referral link on your personal social media accounts, excluding any site that is contributed to or owned by someone else (eg. Wikipedia and coupon websites). Note: search engine marketing (eg. Adwords, Yahoo or Bing) or the words “coupon”, “code”, “promo code”, “discount code”, “voucher code” or “voucher” must not be used to promote posts.
- We may limit the number of times you may use your referral link. This means that your unique link may only be used a specific number of times.
- The referral links have no official monetary value and can’t be exchanged, transferred, redeemed, replaced or refunded for proper cash or cash equivalents.
- You are responsible for notifying your Friend of these Terms.
General additional terms and conditions
- You are acting as an independent contractor with respect to Minut and the Refer a Friend Program and not as an employee, partner, agent or joint venturer. You are solely responsible for any taxes, dues, levies, social charges and other fiscal charges imposed on you as a result of any payments or rewards provided to you under this Program.
- Sharing placements: If requested by Minut, you will share the places you’ve used your referral link. This includes, but is not limited to, links, screenshots, and email sends.
- We may suspend or terminate the program or your ability to participate in it at any time for any reason. You may also terminate your participation in the program at any time.
- We reserve the right to suspend accounts or invalidate referral links, discounts or rewards if we notice any activity that we believe is abusive, fraudulent, or in violation of these Terms or the Minut Terms of Service. We reserve the right to review and investigate all referral activities and to suspend accounts or modify referrals in our sole discretion as deemed fair and appropriate.
- We reserve the right to interpret these Terms and our determination of what these Terms mean in a specific situation will be made in good faith. Once made, such determination will be final on us, on you and on any of your Friends.
- We can update or revise these Terms at any time without prior notice. If we modify these Terms, we will post the modification on our website to be effective upon posting. Check the date at the top of these Terms. Continued participation in the program after any modification shall constitute consent to such modification.
- Our programs and campaigns are void where prohibited by law, including by any applicable US or EU sanctions laws. You may not use the Refer a Friend Program for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You must not, in the use of the Refer a Friend Program, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).
- These Terms constitute the entire agreement between Minut and you with respect to your participation in the Refer a Friend Program, and shall supersede all prior discussions and writings with respect to the subject matter hereof.
